RONJYA SPACE

sculptural objects

stainless steel, brass, aluminum all hand-formed. portugal. from the same origin as ronjya womenswear.

body. object. structure. a discipline of proportion. each piece is reduced to line, mass, and balance. nothing ornamental. nothing concealed.

form is resolved until it stands without support from decoration. only structure carries the weight.

the same principle defines ronjya womenswear. silhouette through construction. presence through restraint. architecture is reference. precision is standard.

steel defines the room. fabric defines the body. proportion above all.

"Bench"

Bench

mirror polished stainless steel. L 1600 × W 400 × H 450 mm 32 kg.

bench takes its form from alejandro aravena, pritzker prize 2016, whose architecture balances rigor with generosity. designed with the same clarity and honesty as his projects, it measures every edge, respects every angle, and lets material speak for itself. proportions dictate presence. geometry defines function. building on lisbon's riverside, it inhabits space without apology—direct, tactile, essential. no ornament, no compromise. every line, every plane, every joint is deliberate. it is architecture translated into object, structure made tangible.

studio bebe organic. in an old industrial area in tallinn. bringing architecture and iconic creators together to build a workspace for my wife and her brand bebe organic.

various patio projects in porto and foz do douro. design-led houses inspired by corbusier, alvar aalto, and arne jacobsen.

working with mass lab and diogo sousa rocha, whose work includes the porto arts club in foz do douro — a private members club dedicated to the art of living well. rooted in culture, community, and creativity.

developing a new neighborhood in porto for 1,500 design and sustainability conscious residents. young architects given carte blanche to build something beyond the standard. master plan and vision approved. the project redefines porto skyline from above, rethinking as a new circular neighborhood — a landmark seen from the clouds. it transforms a space into an integrated sustainable dome city. the reference came from a tourbillon watch sitting upside down on the desk.

ABOUT

hi. i'm kari. i make things — brands, furniture, clothes, houses, spaces. i work slowly and i care about the details. most of my work comes from a belief that strength is most powerful in silence. i like music and riding bicycles for fun very far. i like art of light also but that is hard still to learn. provance is best for photos they say. turell makes it even harder.
